Bring your clothes back into the cycle
No matter how carefully you look after your clothes and how long they have been with you, one day the time will come when you have to say your goodbyes to them. In our recycling guide, you can find out what to consider when that time comes.
Have you already checked all the options before you want to recycle your favorite product? If your product has a fault, you may be able to fix it yourself with the help of our Repair Guide. Our products are designed for a long service life. If you are sure that you want to part ways with a piece of clothing that is still usable, you can easily resell DRYKORN items using the tips in our Resale Guide or simply give them away to family or friends. Extending the use phase of garments is the best way to promote sustainable fashion and minimize the ecological footprint of yourself and our products.
If reselling your clothes is not for you, we recommend that you donate them. Non-profit organizations sort donated clothing for resale in order to finance social initiatives with the proceeds. Charitable organizations often work with textile recyclers to whom they hand over unusable old clothes. You can find reliable charitable collection organizations via FairWertung, while you can support research into innovative recycling processes by donating clothing to TEXAID.

TEXAID
Don't throw your old clothes in the household waste. Most textiles can be recycled so that the valuable resources they contain are preserved. If textiles are simply thrown away, they end up in landfill or are incinerated.
Exceptions:
If your textiles are heavily soiled with paint or chemicals, they can only be disposed of in household waste. Special clothing such as fire or chemical resistant clothing is often lined with toxic substances and must be disposed of as hazardous waste. Contact your local recycling facility in this case.
Recycle your Clothes with Drykorn
Our Promise
Textile recycling is a complex process, with the cause for this complexity already embedded in the design phase of a garment. That's why our designers are constantly working to improve the recyclability of our products and make design decisions with the whole life cycle in mind. This process is far from perfect, but even today we promise you that in all parts of our collection marked as recyclable, the wool or cotton has been used in such a way that a recycling company can recover the fibers on an industrial scale.
The DRYKORN return system
We need your help because you are an important part of the recycling process. We are aware that it can be challenging to find the right way to recycle your clothes. There is also a risk that, despite your recycling efforts, your old textiles will be incinerated or landfilled.
This is why we have decided to take back your old DRYKORN items to add them into an efficient and careful recycling process. You have the option of sending us old DRYKORN items that are no longer suitable for resale or donation. You can hand your old DRYKORN pieces in at our stores in Berlin as well.
We collect these garments and pass them on to our recycling partner TURNS®. At TURNS ®, the fibers are either recycled into new textile yarn or further processed into industrial textiles through downcycling processes. We cannot influence which of these routes your broken DRYKORN items will take. However, we can ensure that your textiles are not incinerated or sent to landfill.
